Thomas S. Buchanan, Ph.D., is the George W. Laird Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Delaware. He has studied at UCSD, Northwestern University and MIT, and has held visiting professorships at the University of Western Australia and the University of Aix-Marseille in France. He has held many academic administrative positions, including department chairman, deputy dean and institute director, as well as national leadership positions such as president of the American Society of Biomechanics and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Applied Biomechanics.
Casey Luskin is a scientist and an attorney with a PhD in Geology from the University of Johannesburg and a JD from the University of San Diego. In his day job, he works as Associate Director of the Center for Science and Culture at Discovery Institute, helping to oversee the intelligent design (ID) research program and defending academic freedom for scientists who support intelligent design. Dr. Luskin has written and spoken widely on the scientific mechanics and implications of both intelligent design and evolution. He also volunteers for the "IDEA Center," a non-profit that helps students to start IDEA Clubs on their college and high school campuses. He lives and works in Seattle, Washington, where he and his wife are avid enjoyers of the outdoors.
Bob Perry is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy (B.S., Aerospace Engineering) and Biola University (M.A., Christian Apologetics). He spent eight years as a tactical jet pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps and nearly 32 years as a commercial airline pilot, accumulating nearly 20,000 hours of flight time. Challenged by a fellow pilot to explain why he was a Christian one night over the plains of Kansas, he discovered the world of apologetics through his ensuing crisis of faith. His book, Confident Christianity, is an introduction to apologetics for people who find themselves in the same position. He “empowers thinking Christians to engage the world” at truehorizon.org and bobperry.substack.com.
Amanda Witt, Ph.D., is an editor for the Discovery Institute and the author of four dystopian novels and many shorter works, both fiction and non-fiction. She has also taught as an adjunct English and humanities professor, and she and her husband homeschooled their three children.
Executive Editor
James M. Kushiner is the Executive Editor of Salvo. He and Richard Moselle founded Salvo (originally known as the Crux Project) in 2003, and launched Salvo in 2006 as a print quarterly journal for young adults seeking intelligent responses and alternatives to the secular and materialistic worldviews dominating society and the media. He edited Signs of Intelligence: Understanding Intelligent Design with William A. Dembski (2001, Brazos Press). He spoke at the World Congress of Families in Amsterdam in 2009 on "Prodigal Research: Religious Faith as it Relates to Family Life, Democracy, and Social Development."
Deputy Editor
Terrell Clemmons earned a BS in Computer Science from Clemson University and worked in software development until she hopped off the career track to be a full-time mom. Raised in a church-going home, she lived complacently toward the faith until she became a parent. Newly motivated at that point to find truth about the bigger issues of life, she researched the worldview claims of Christianity and became convinced that they were actually true.
She began writing on Christian living and apologetics in 2004 and joined Salvo in 2007. She has also worked with Ratio Christi and Anchorsaway apologetics ministries for youth. With her kids now grown and her husband deceased, she lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, with her dog, the only family member still at home, and writes on apologetics and matters of faith.
Founder
Dr. Richard Moselle received his BS from UCLA in 1966 and his DDS from the University of Southern California. He serves as the Vice President of the Advanced Restorative institute, a postgraduate dental education program, and as a board member of the apologetics ministry Stand to Reason.
Dr. Moselle has a full time dental practice in Los Angeles, CA, where he attends University Bible Church in Westwood, Ca. He and his wife Nancy have four children and are the grandparents of seven.
